Gadget Radar Privacy Policy
Last Updated: August 14, 2026
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Gadget Radar (“the App”) handles information. We respect your privacy and believe that you should have full control over your personal data. Because Gadget Radar functions without user accounts, cloud infrastructure, or external analytics, your data remains strictly on your local device.
2. Data Collection and Usage
We do not collect, store, or process any personal data.
-
No Personal Information: We do not ask for, collect, or store your name, email address, phone number, physical address, or any other personally identifiable information.
-
No Account Required: Gadget Radar is a one-time purchase application. You do not need to register, create an account, or log in to use any feature of the App.
-
No Analytics or Tracking: We do not integrate third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or tracking tools. We do not track your usage, behavior, or interactions within the app.
3. Device Permissions (Bluetooth Access)
To perform its core function—helping you locate lost devices around your home—Gadget Radar requires permission to access your device’s Bluetooth functionality.
-
Purpose: Bluetooth access is used exclusively to scan for nearby Bluetooth signal broadcasts (such as Bluetooth Low Energy signals from smartwatches, headphones, tags, or other connected accessories) and display their relative signal strength (RSSI) to help you locate them.
-
Local Processing: All Bluetooth scanning data is processed locally in real time on your physical device. Signal measurements and device names detected during scans are never transmitted off your device, uploaded to remote servers, or stored permanently.
4. Location Data
On certain operating systems (such as older versions of Android), operating system security policies classify Bluetooth scanning under location permissions because scanning nearby beacons can theoretically infer general proximity. Gadget Radar uses Bluetooth solely for local signal detection to locate gadgets around your immediate environment. We do not collect, track, or share your GPS location or geographic position.
5. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing
Because we do not collect any data, we do not sell, trade, rent, or share any user data with third parties. There are no third-party APIs, ad networks, or cloud databases connected to Gadget Radar.
6. Children’s Privacy
Gadget Radar does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13 (or under the applicable age in your jurisdiction). The app is safe for general audiences.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect app updates or regulatory changes. Any updates will be posted on our official distribution channels or within app updates. You are advised to review this policy periodically for any changes.
